Fire alarm systems are designed to notify occupants of a building or house of a possible fire. A fire alarm system includes:

  • initiating devices
  • audible and visual notification devices
  • an annunciator panel
  • wiring, and battery backup

A Fire Department plan checker reviews and approves fire alarm system plans on behalf of the Fire Marshal.
