The Hayward Fire and Police Departments are asking all residents in the City of Hayward and Fairview Protection District to be aware that all fireworks are illegal in these jurisdictions. Due to the extreme dry fire season that we are experiencing, the Hayward Fire Department will be counting on the support of our residents in not purchasing or using fireworks. Each year we have many unwanted injuries and fires that are attributed to fireworks. Fireworks can be extremely dangerous and cause bodily harm as well as cause extensive property damage from fire. We are asking for your cooperation by not using any fireworks in the City of Hayward. Enjoy your Fourth of July and remember to “Celebrate with Safety.”
