Assign or change a property address
New Address:
When a new building or unit is proposed, an Request for Address Assignment or Change application should be made to the Building Division so that the new address(es) can be established. The address must be approved by the Building Official and must correspond with existing addressing. The Building Official may assign an address different than that proposed.
Change of Existing Address:
The City will consider an application for change of existing address. Below are some of the reasons you may consider a change of an existing address.
- The existing address number is out of sequence with the numbers adjacent to the subject property
- The address number is duplicated or the same address number exists on a similar street name
- The existing or newly remodeled main entrance is on a different street(typical of a corner lot).
The address must be approved by the Building Official and must correspond with existing addressing. The Building Official may assign an address different than that proposed.
