The Bay Area Water Supply & Conservation Agency (BAWSCA) periodically hosts free online Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper (QWEL) training for professionals who live or conduct work in Alameda County, Santa Clara County, and San Mateo County!
- Who should attend: Landscape contractors and irrigation technicians, park and public agency maintenance staff, landscape architects and designers, and others interested in landscape water conservation.
- What’s it about: The QWEL professional certification course provides education on water-saving sustainable landscaping principles, soils, plant water needs, irrigation system troubleshooting and audits, controller programming, and more. Learn more at https://www.qwel.net/.
- WaterSense recognized: The QWEL professional training is a proactive local approach to reducing landscape water use. It is recognized as a WaterSense labeled Professional Certification Program for Irrigation System Auditing and is a multi-year WaterSense Sustained Excellence award winner.
