Diverse Hayward Residents

On June 6, 2017, the City of Hayward became a Sanctuary City, thereby affirming the City’s commitment to values of dignity, inclusivity, and respect for all individuals. The City provides services to all residents, regardless of immigration status. The Hayward Police Department has a policy prohibiting their participation in civil immigration operations and enforcement.
