Water conservation provides multiple benefits, including:
- Reducing water and energy bills
- Lowering yard maintenance
- Preventing urban runoff that would otherwise pollute our creeks and San Francisco Bay
The City of Hayward has historically been a good steward of our water resources and remains vigilant in using water wisely during current drought conditions.
In an effort to assist our residents and businesses with water use efficiency, the City of Hayward offers the following water conservation programs:
- Lawn Conversion Rebate Program
- Rain Barrels Rebate Program
- Rachio Smart Sprinkler Controller Rebate Program
