Projects Under Environmental Review

The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requires a public review period for land development projects. COSTCO BUSINESS FUEL FACILITY - HATHAWAY AVENUE

PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: from September 27, 2019, through October 17, 2019, at 5 p.m.

The Costco Business Center Fuel Facility (Application No. 201706217) project would occupy the northern corner of the property at 22330 Hathaway Avenue in the City of Hayward (APN 429-0082-003-00). The proposed project involves a Major Modification to an existing Planned Development (PD) zoning district to allow for the devlopment of a gas station at the Coscto Business Center and will include an approximate 9,350 square foot canopy comprising 12 dispenser (24 fueling positions) with related site improvements (landscaping, stormwater management features, and site circulation). The project will also require the demolition of the existing 8,580 square foot on-site tire center.

The Hayward Planning Commission will review the proposed project and Mitigated Negative Declaration at a public hearing on Thursday, October 24, 2019, starting at 7 P.M. and may provide a recommendation to the Hayward City Council. Following the Planning Commission public hearing, this matter will be considered for final action by the City Council at a public hearing tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 7 P.M. Public hearings are held at Hayward City Hall, 777 B Street, Second Floor Council Chambers, Hayward, CA 94541.
