The AC Transit Board of Directors will be considering proposals for an upcoming fare change. These changes to the current fare schedule are to keep up with escalating operational costs to run the service effectively, and will be guided by the board’s fare policy goals, which are to be fiscally responsible, simple, transparent, and equitable.
To keep with these guiding principles for the fare policy, AC Transit wants to ensure that the communities within their service area have sufficient opportunity to provide feedback on these proposed changes to be certain that the final product has taken into consideration a variety of perspectives and has been thoughtfully constructed.
