Free summer fun recreational program
Hosted by Hayward Police Department's Youth and Family Services Bureau in partnership with community based organizations
Kick off summer with the Hayward Police Department's Youth and Family Services Bureau-supported recreational activities for Hayward students entering grades 2 through 8 for the 2021- 2022 school year.
This free program will feature grade appropriate activites that focus on health and wellness, social and emotional learning and community building during two summer sessions. The first session will be held from June 22 - July 15 and the second will be held from July 27 - Aug. 19.
During each session, students will meet for 90 minutes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at Birchfield Park, located at the corner of Santa Clara Ave. and Elmhurst St. Students entering grades 2 - 5 will meet from 9 - 10:30 a.m. and students entering grades 6 - 8 will meet from 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Reserve your student's spot today by filling out the application here and returing it to the Youth and Family Services Bureau by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also drop it off in person to the Hayward Police Department, 300 W. Winton Ave. Spanish applications are also available here.
