Building Permit Application

Used for all building permits.


Owner-Builder Application

Used with Building Permits for owners that pull permits for their own property. 


Fax-in Permit Application

Used for standard over the counter (OTC) permits that have been registered in the fax-in program. 


Permit Extension Request

Includes policy and the actual extension request form. Used for plan review and inspections


Refund Request

Includes policy and the actual refund request form. Plan and review is not refundable.


Address Request

The proposed address is a request only, not a guarantee.


Phased Approval Permit Application

Used to allow an applicant to break out a phase of work under a separate permit.


Temporary Certificate of Occupancy (TCO)

Request application to obtain a temporary certificate of occupancy.


"J" Number Application

Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) application and policy on enforcement.


Certificate of Compliance: CF-IR-ALT

2019 Energy Code Compliance for Lowrise Residential Alterations that do not require HERS rating.


Certificate of Compliance: CF-IR-ADD

2019 Energy Code Compliance for Lowrise Residential Additions less than 1,000ftthat do not require HERS verification.


Disabled Access Upgrades

Used to document disabled access upgrades to tenant improvemnet projects.


Non-Residential Calgreen Checklist

A checklist that documents CalGreen compliance for non-residential projects. For plan review.


Residential Calgreen Checklist

A checklist that documents CalGreen compliance for residential projects. For plan review.


Statement of Special Inspections

Checked by the structural reviewer during plan review. Must be included with the "Job Site Copy" at issuance.


Smoke and Co Affidavit

Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are required in all single-family and multi-family dwellings.


Inspection Request Instructions

When scheduling an inspection, you will need the following information: your permit card with the permit number and the 3-digit numerical code found on the back of your inspection card located next to each inspection type.


Approved List of Field Evaluation Bodies

The California Electrical Code has specific requirements that equipment is to be listed by a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) and be installed per its intended use.
