CASE SYNOPSIS

RECOVERED HANDGUN: On 05/06/2024 at 10:49 PM, officers conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of Mission Blvd and B St for a vehicle code violation. Officers spoke with the driver and observed a handgun case in plain view. The driver admitted to having a gun in the car and was detained. A search of the vehicle revealed a handgun outside of the gun case. The driver was placed under arrest. (Report #: 2024-024997)  

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY: On 05/09/2024 at 2:39 PM, the victim was approached by the suspect near the intersection of Main St and Hazel Ave. The suspect revealed a handgun in his waistband, assaulted the victim, attempted to take property from the victim, and fled the scene on foot. Officers arrived on scene, conducted an area check, and located the suspect nearby, who was positively identified by the victim. The suspect was placed under arrest. (Report #: 2024-025076) 

RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE: On 05/08/2024 at 6:23 PM, officers located an occupied stolen vehicle near the intersection of Tennyson Rd and Tampa Ave. Officers attempted to conduct a vehicle stop, but the driver fled at a high rate of speed. Officers did not pursue the vehicle but found the car parked, unoccupied, a short distance away moments later. Officers did an area check and located the occupants of the car, all three of which were detained and found to be juveniles. The three were arrested for the incident and were later released to their guardians. (Report #: 2024-024433) 

HOME INVASION ROBBERY: On 05/09/2024 at 12:22 AM, two suspects entered the victim’s hotel room near the 29000 block of Mission Blvd. The suspects used force and took property from the victim before they fled the scene in a vehicle. (Report #: 2024-025483)
