City Council meeting comes to South Hayward tonight
A work session on potential approaches to increasing the minimum wage in Hayward will be one subject of a special City Council meeting to be held this evening, Tuesday, Oct. 15, at Matt Jimenez Community Center in South Hayward.
The meeting, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m., also will provide residents an opportunity to address the Council on other issues of concern during a public comment period reserved for topics not otherwise appearing on the meeting agenda.
The Council meeting, taking place at the Community Center at 28200 Ruus Road, is part of the City’s effort to foster greater accessibility to government—one of several goals identified by a special Community Task Force for building a more inclusive, equitable and compassionate community in Hayward.
