Two guns, two traffic stops, one night.
Pictured above are two handguns, ammunition, and a bullet proof vest with armored plates that were recovered on two different traffic stops in the same night. Each of the cars were originally pulled over for equipment violations and each of the handguns recovered were within reach of the occupants inside.
Both drivers were arrested for various weapons charges.
While most traffic stops do not end with arrests for possession of weapons and ammunition, these instances are good reminders for our officers to use safe tactics and clear communication during every interaction with the public.
We are thankful no one was hurt during these incidents.
