The D Street Traffic Calming and Implementation Project spans 0.75 miles of D Street between 2nd Street and the city limits.

Map of D Street Project

This section of D Street connects Fairview to downtown Hayward, serving as an important corridor for neighborhoods and schools. In response to concerns expressed by the community, staff will conduct community outreach to identify opportunities to improve pedestrian and bike safety, as well as reduce excessive vehicle speeds, along the D Street corridor.
