Watkins Street Construction Closure - Friday September 30th
Brianne Elizarrey | September 28, 2016
The Public Works Engineering & Transportation department will be micro-surfacing Watkins Street from B St to C St as part of the city wide Pavement Repair Project. Half of of Watkins Street will be resurfaced in the morning and once cured and re-opened to traffic, the afternoon work on the other half of Watkins St will take place. Refer to the detour plan below for morning and afternoon work limits. Access to the City’s parking structure on Watkins St and Post office will remain open all day but will be limited by the morning and afternoon construction work and lane closures except as required for emergencies and post office delivery vehicles. Access to the parking structure on Mission Boulevard will be open all day.
This work is schedule for Friday, September 30, 2016 from approximately 8:30AM to 6PM. The contractor will be posting “No Parking” signs in the street parking areas in anticipation of lane closures. Cars parked in “No Parking” posted zones will be towed at the owner’s expense and traffic will be detoured around the closure per the Detour Plan below. Please contact Jose Luis Gonzalez (City Inspector) at 510-512-3829 or Alex Tat (City’s Project Manager) at 510-583-4769 for assistance with navigating around the construction work.
