Borrow and learn to play the ukulele at the library!

Borrowing ukuleles

  • Find ukuleles on display throughout the library and bring one of the tickets to the desk.
  • You can borrow ukuleles for 4 weeks and renew them twice.
  • Return ukuleles during library open hours at the Accounts Desk. Please don’t use the book drop as it will damage the instruments.

Strumming in the Library

  • Strum Alongs every other Saturday afternoon from 2-3 pm at the Downtown Library. Dates on our events calendar
  • If you don't own a ukulele, you can borrow one at any Hayward Public Library location.
  • Lessons are offered during the summer.
