ESL Grammar Classes

The Hayward Public Library is launching a new, free ESL Grammar Workshop Series! These classes will be offered in eight-week series of various levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.

Overview

  • Registration required. Fill out the General Interest Form to begin the enrollment process.  
  • Learn parts of speech, sentence structures, verb tenses, and more through lectures, online exercise, speaking practice, and many more fun activities.
  • Receive free textbooks, school supplies, and a backpack to assist with your studies. 
  • Attend all eight sessions to receive a certificate of completion from the City of Hayward.  
Please note: This is a series of classes and not a drop-in program. Learners must attend all eight classes to participate.

Spring II: 4/30/24-6/20/24

Beginner II: Tuesdays 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
Intermediate II: Tuesdays 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Advanced II: Thursdays 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Fall I: 8/6/24 - 9/26/24

Beginner I: Tuesdays 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm
Intermediate I: Tuesdays 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
Advanced I: Thursdays 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Fall II: 10/22/24-12/12/24

Beginner II: Tuesdays 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm  
Intermediate II: Tuesdays 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
Advanced II: Thursdays 9 am - 10 am
