Tech Support Tutoring

A tutor helps a learner use a tablet device with books in the background

Our Goal

To help community members acquire the basic computer & digital literacy skills needed to independently utilize devices checked out through HPL’s Tech Lending Library.

Background

To complement Hayward Public Library’s Tech Lending Library, staff are launching a Tech Support Program for adult members of the public who are in need of technical support using their wi-fi hotspots, tablets, and Chromebooks. Tech Support Volunteer Tutors will be provided training by Hayward Public Library staff and provided resources to reference. Tech Support Volunteer Tutors will host a weekly 2-hour session, meeting with community members on a drop-in or schedule basis. Weekly sessions will take place at the Downtown Hayward Library.
