Literacy Plus offers free English Conversation Circles to adults whose native language is not English. The goal is to ensure learners strengthen their conversational English skills and build self-esteem. Trained volunteers facilitate conversation in a casual atmosphere and focus on practical, everyday topics, as well as topics based on interests and needs. The circles are held at several locations in Hayward.

Earn your high school diploma with Career Online High School! Hayward Public Library Literacy Plus program, in partnership with the California State Library and Gale, part of Cengage Learning, offers adults the opportunity to earn an accredited high school diploma and career certificate online through Career Online High School.
