Hayward Youth Commission (HYC) advises the Mayor and City Council, and the elected boards of the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District (HARD) and Hayward Unified School District (HUSD) about issues that affect young people in the Hayward community. Members may also work on several projects and activities throughout the year, e.g., identifying youth needs, organizing youth speak-outs and conferences, etc.

Send an email to tibj@haywardrec.org by 3:00 p.m. the day of the meeting. Please identify the Agenda Item Number in the subject line of your email. Emails will be compiled into one file, distributed to the Hayward Youth Commission advisors, and published on the Hayward Youth Commission Meeting & Agenda Center under Documents Received After Published Agenda. Written comments received after 3:00 p.m. that address an item on the agenda will still be included as part of the record.
