City of Hayward General Municipal Election - November 3, 2020
On May 8, 2020, Governor Gavin Newsom issued Executive Order N-64-20, which orders November 3, 2020, General Election to be conducted as an all-mail ballot election. Accordingly, all registered voters in Hayward will receive a vote-by-mail ballot in the mail before the election. In-person locations will still be available on Election Day.
- The Mayor and Council Members are elected and serve 4-year terms. To qualify, a candidate must be a registered voter of the City of Hayward.
- There are four (4) open Council Member seats. View List of City Council Incumbents.
- At the June 23, 2020 City Council Meeting, Resolutions were adopted Calling the Election and Setting Regulations Pertaining to Candidate Statements.
