Fire Flow Testing
The City of Hayward regularly performs fire hydrant flow tests throughout the City to provide estimates of water system flow and pressure, also known as fire flow data. This data may be required for development projects, fire suppression system designs, and irrigation system designs.
Find Existing Fire Flow Data
To view available fire flow data, please visit our Fire Hydrant Flow Test Map to locate existing data near your project location.
To navigate the map:

- All existing fire hydrants are indicated by blue and red dots. Red dots are existing fire hydrants that do not have existing fire flow data. Blue dots are hydrants that have one or more fire flow data on record.
- If you have located blue circles at or near your project location, and click on them to view fire flow test information.
- If there are no blue circles at or near your project location, or if data is more than five years old, you may need to request new fire flow data
