Environmental Awards
The City of Hayward is welcoming nominations for the 2019 Environmental Awards. Nominees are recognized for their exceptional or innovative efforts to become more sustainable. They have demonstrated their commitment to environmental stewardship by making efforts to conserve water and energy, reduce waste and promote recycling, and implement environmental programs or policies.
The Environmental Award winners will be recognized at a City Council meeting scheduled for May 21, 2019.
Nominations are due by March 1, 2019. To nominate a resident, business, organization, or school, use the form located here. For nomination rules, see below.
- Nominees must be located within Hayward city limits.
- All Nominees must be in compliance with current ordinances, laws, standards, and regulations applicable to that nominee; minimum compliance with such requirements will not be considered as qualifications for the award.
