Have you been thinking about going solar or getting an electric vehicle? It's time.
Hayward has teamed up with other Bay Area cities and the Business Council on Climate Change to provide SunShares, a solar and EV group-purchasing (bulk buy) program.
SunShares will pool the buying power of individual participants to get more competitive pricing from solar and EV companies, making going solar easier and more affordable than ever for residents. This year's SunShares program is available to participants throughout the Bay Area, offering homeowners the opportunity to receive a discounted price on the purchase or lease of solar for their homes as well as for electric vehicles.
2019 Program Timeline
August 1 - SunShares registration opens
August 15 to October 15 - Workshops and webinars
November 15 - Registration closes
December 31 - Final day to sign a solar installation contract
