Missing Person Investigation

January 15, 2020

HAYWARD, Calif.,— On January 18, 1971, 19-year-old Christine Eastin went missing after an evening of shopping.  The car she was driving was located at Charlie’s Car Wash located at 25400 Mission Blvd.

It has been 49 years since she disappeared.  But this will remain an open investigation until we can bring long sought answers to Christine’s family.  To achieve this goal, we have a dedicated detective assigned to this investigation.

There is a suspicion of foul play in Christine’s disappearance.  A photo of Christine appears on the Hayward Police Department’s Facebook page.

The Hayward Police Department requests that anyone with information of what happened that evening contact Detective Sprague at 510-293-7176.  He requests you contact him even if you have spoken to the police in the past regarding this case.

There is a $50,000 reward for anyone who has information that leads to the conviction of the person responsible for Christine’s disappearance.
