Operations News

May 22, 2018

Hello! I’m Pam Svrdlin, the new Airport Operations Supervisor at Hayward Executive Airport (HWD), and I’m pleased to be here! First, a little about me. For the past two and a half years, I’ve worked as the Airport Operations Supervisor for Santa Clara County where I helped manage the Reid Hillview and San Martin airports. I have additional experience with an aerial survey company and a flight planning organization.

My love of flying started in Truckee when I was 15 years old flying gliders at Soar Truckee, Inc. and continued while attending San Jose State University’s Aviation Operations Program. After graduation, I received my FAA Private Pilot Certificate and Aircraft Dispatchers Certificate. I’m a member of Women in Aviation, the 99’s, Alpha Eta Rho Fraternity, Aero Club of Northern California, and American Association of Airport Executives.

I am grateful to call the Bay Area home. This wonderful corner of the world has some of the greatest minds, newest technology, and a vibrant aviation community. Now, as part of the HWD family, I would like to get to know each one of you. Please come by the Airport Administration Office or stop me on the ramp; I am here to help. Feel free to contact me at 510-293-5462 or pamela.svrdlin@hayward-ca.gov with any comments or questions. See you soon.
