Orlando Victims to be Honored at Hayward Art Show
Event Takes Place Friday, June 24th
HAYWARD - The Sun Gallery, the City of Hayward, and East Bay Artist Andrew Kong Knight will make a public statement this Friday to stand in solidarity with the City of Orlando.
A tribute wall installation is being created at the Sun Gallery in Hayward, and it will offer visitors from all over the Bay Area to express their respect, grief and sorrow to each of the Orlando victims, by pinning rainbow ribbons next to Kong Knight's US anti-gun violence artwork, entitled, "Our War at Home."
"There will be a total of 49 ribbons representing each victim, we are creating this public tribute to show our love, compassion and hope to Orlando and the rest of the world, from our home in the East Bay Area."
Andrew Kong Knight
The public is invited to participate in an interactive, ribbon pinning public tribute to the victims of the Orlando massacre at a press conference begining at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 24th and also during the reception following the event.
