Lane closures and excavation for Comcast cable installation
Dear Downtown Community Members,
I am writing to provide you with information on lane closures associated with excavation work being carried out on behalf of Comcast along B Street and segments of Mission Boulevard and Watkins Street.
The excavation work is being performed under a permit issued by the City of Hayward by a contractor for Comcast. Work that requires lane closures may be carried out between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Without lane closures, work can take place from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The project should be completed no later than March 16.
The work entails installation of new conduit, cables and equipment vaults for new Comcast service in our growing downtown.
The work also will take place in the privately-owned parking lot serving the Lucky supermarket, behind the Hayward Ace Hardware store.
