Have a say on the future of Bidwell Park and Community Center
It’s not too late to provide input on the renovation of Bidwell Park and Community Center in South Hayward through this online Hayward Area Park and Recreation District survey.
HARD is the independently governed agency that manages parks and park facilities, and offers an array of educational, health, recreation and sports programs and summer camps in the City, Castro Valley and other neighboring unincorporated areas of Alameda County.
In November 2016, voters residing within the District passed Measure F1, a $250 million bond measure to fund repairs, upgrades and new construction projects at HARD parks and facilities.
One of the planned Measure F1 projects involves renovation of the existing park and the former Bidwell Elementary School to create a new community center in South Hayward. To learn more about the project as well as for a link to the survey to provide input, go online here on the HARD website. Or email BidwellParkRenovatio@haywardrec.org.
