CASE SYNOPSIS

SHOOTING: On 07/28/2024 at 11:01 PM, officers responded to the report of a shooting near the 2000 block of American Ave. Officers arrived on scene a man armed with a handgun and evidence of a shooting in the same area. The man was taken into custody for various shooting related charges. (Report #: 2024-041857)  

HOME INVASION: On 07/29/2024 at 2:15 PM, the victim was a home near the 26000 block of Mocine Ave when she saw three men force entry into her residence. The men took property from the home and fled the scene by unknown means in an unknown direction. (Report #: 2024-041983) 

RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE: On 08/01/2024 at 5:00 PM, officers located an occupied stolen vehicle near the intersection of Pompano Ave/Havana Ave. A vehicle stop was conducted, and the driver was taken into custody. (Report #: 2024-042739) 

ATTEMPTED CARJACKING: On 08/01/2024 at 9:54 PM, the victim was standing in a parking lot near the 1000 block of C St when he was approached by a man. The man used force and tried to take the victim’s car keys to steal the car. The victim was able to throw the keys before the man could take them. The man then assaulted the victim and fled the scene in a vehicle. (Report #: 2024-042793)
