Light Up the Season

The beloved annual holiday event, Light up the Season, returns to downtown Hayward Saturday, Dec. 1. 

The festivities will take place around City Hall Plaza, 777 B Street, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and will culminate with a special tree-lighting ceremony to be held in the City Hall rotunda beginning at 6:15 p.m.

This free admission event will feature carnival rides for children, ice skating, face painting, diverse activities, entertainment and family fun, with live musical performances from the Mt. Eden High School Choir, Youth Orchestra of Southern Alameda County, California Crosspoint High School, the Sikh Punjabi School Choir, Hayward High School Marching Band and Mariachi Juvenil de Hayward.

Bring a new unwrapped toy to support the Hayward Fire and Police departments Toys for Kids Drive and be entered to win a Family Fun Basket filled with holiday treats and toys.
