Hayward COVID-19 Testing Center closed Monday, Sept. 7, and Wednesday, Sept. 9

HAYWARD, Calif., Sept. 4, 2020—The City of Hayward COVID-19 Testing Center will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, and Wednesday, Sept. 9, for the Labor Day holiday and in observance of California Admission Day.

The Testing Center, located at Skywest Golf Course, 1401 Golf Course Road, adjacent to the Hayward Executive Airport, normally operates from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Testing at the Center is free by appointment and available to anyone age 12 or older regardless of place of residence or immigration status.  No physician referral is required.

During registration, the Center will request health insurance information but coverage is not required to be tested and no one will be denied service if they don’t have health insurance.

California Admission Day, Sept. 9, is the anniversary of the day in 1850 on which, by an act of Congress signed by then- U.S. President Millard Fillmore, California was admitted to the United States as the 31st state of the Union.
