Homicide Investigation – 24000 block of Second Street
HAYWARD, Calif., On June. 26, 2024 at approximately 1:58 a.m., officers responded to the report of a shooting near the 24000 block of Second St.
Officers arrived on scene and located an unresponsive male, suffering from gunshot wounds. Medical personnel responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified as a 15-year-old male out of Rodeo, CA.
At approximately 2:14 a.m., officers received reports that a second shooting victim had self-transported to a local medical facility for treatment. The second victim, a 13-year-old male resident of Hayward, is considered to be in critical but stable condition.
There is no one in custody at this time.
