The Hayward Fire Department, in a partnership with Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center and the Alameda County Department of Public Health, has established a COVID-19 vaccination site at the Firehouse Clinic on the grounds of Hayward Fire Station 7 in South Hayward.

Initiated as a pilot project on Jan. 21, the Clinic vaccination site is intended to make COVID-19 vaccine more accessible to South Hayward and the greater Hayward community—with special attention to communities of color that have been hit hardest by coronavirus and are now receiving vaccinations at disproportionately slower rates.

Currently, the Site, located at 28300 Huntwood Ave., is offering the COVID-19 vaccine by Moderna to Tiburcio Vasquez Health Center patients and community members who are age 65 and older or work in the healthcare, emergency services, education and childcare, and food and agriculture sectors in accordance with State and County vaccination criteria.

The number of vaccination appointments and days and hours of operation of the vaccine site are subject to change based on weekly vaccine supply.

To learn more about the vaccine and add your name to the Clinic vaccination waiting list, go online here.  Or, text (510) 800-7198 and provide your name and age to receive a link to join the waiting list.
