Fatal Collision – 30000 block of San Benito Street
HAYWARD, Calif., On Wednesday April 12, 2023, at about 9:22 p.m., officers responded to the report of a collision involving two vehicles near the 30000 block of San Benito St.
Officers arrived on scene and located a vehicle that collided into a parked semitruck trailer.
A 35-year-old female and the sole occupant of the vehicle was found unconscious and suffering from injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel responded and pronounced the driver deceased at the scene.
The victim’s identity is known but is not being released at this time, pending formal identification protocols by the Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau and notifications to next of kin.
It is unknown if alcohol/impairment was a factor in this collision.
This is an active investigation and additional details will be released as they become available.

This is Hayward’s fourth fatal collision in 2023.
