Hayward's National Night Out festivities return—Aug. 6
National Night Out is an annual summer event designed to strengthen police-community relationships and promote neighborhood camaraderie nationwide.
In Hayward, neighborhood-based National Night Out gatherings will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6. This event, held annually on the first Tuesday in August, encourages neighborhoods to host events ranging from small potlucks and barbecues to large block parties.
To ensure Hayward police and other City representatives can attend, please register your neighborhood event by Tuesday, July 23.
Event ideas for National Night Out include ice cream socials, disaster preparedness trainings, games, contests, food and clothing drives, neighborhood clean-up and beautification projects, and discussions or planning of a Neighborhood Watch Program.
