Months-long investigation leads to arrest in burglary series; includes theft of high-end vehicles from car dealerships
HAYWARD, Calif., After a several months-long investigation, detectives have arrested 23-year-old Nova Moore, a resident of Hayward, as the primary person believed to be responsible for organizing and committing numerous burglaries in Hayward, at least one burglary in Union City, and one in San Ramon. Nova was placed under arrest for these incidents on July 11, 2024.
Spanning from August 2023 through November 2023, no less than 10 burglaries took place in Hayward alone, two of which included the theft of high-end vehicles taken from local Hayward car dealerships.
Officers, detectives, and our forensic team worked together to collect and process evidence, author and execute search warrants, and meticulously document each incident. This effort was instrumental in connecting these incidents and ultimately identifying and apprehending Moore, linking him to these burglaries, and recovering the stolen high-end vehicles.
This multifaced investigation was a team effort and an example of the resources the Hayward Police Department will deploy to keep our community safe.
We appreciate the community’s patience and support as these cases were under investigation.
The Hayward Police Department report number is 2023-66011.
