Homicide Investigation – 24000 block of Silva Avenue
HAYWARD, Calif., On August 18, 2024, at approximately 2:06 a.m., officers responded to the report of an altercation that escalated to an assault with a deadly weapon near the 24000 block of Silva Avenue.
Officers arrived on scene and located a 39-year-old male suffering from stab wounds. Medical personnel responded and pronounced the man deceased at the scene.
A second victim, a 37-year-old female, was also located at the scene suffering from stab wounds. The female was transported to a local medical facility and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Both victim’s identities are known but are not being released at this time.
There is no one in custody for this incident. This investigation is ongoing and further details will be released when they are available.
