Significant Incidents
Carjacking and Robbery: On 12/27/2025 at 1:00PM, the victims went to the 2300 block of American Ave to retrieve a package and were approached by an unknown subject. The subject pointed a handgun at the victim’s and took their package and vehicle. Video footage from the incident was collected; and the vehicle was later recovered about a mile away. Case 2025-74473
Robbery: On 12/30/2025 at 3:42PM, officers were sent to the 1100 block of W Tennyson Rd for a strong-arm robbery. The victim believes she was followed by the subjects from a bank near Southland Mall. Three subjects exited their vehicle, smashed the victim’s vehicle window, snatched her purse from her hands, and fled the scene. A few hours later, the suspect vehicle was stopped by Alameda County Sheriff’s, but it was not the suspects. The vehicle was sold immediately after the robbery. Case 2025-74841
DUI, Criminal Threats, and Possession of a Concealed Firearm: On 12/31/2025 at 03:25AM, officer stopped a vehicle at D St and High St for vehicle code violations. After contacting the driver, the officers initiated a DUI investigation and during the pat search, a firearm was located. The driver resisted arrest and attempted to flee in his vehicle but was taken into custody. A passenger was also taken into custody for resisting arrest. Case 2025-74937
Armed Robbery: On 01/02/2026 at 2:42PM, a US postal worker was returning to his mailvan on the 2100 block of Thayer Ave when a subject wearing a ski mask approached him. The subject produced a handgun from his waistband and demanded the “skeleton” key. The postal worker said he did not have the key, so the suspect took the vehicle key fob (instead), ran to an awaiting vehicle and fled the scene. Case 2026-000241
