Homicide Investigation – B Street/Alice Street 

HAYWARD, Calif., On Monday, October 2, 2023, at about 2:01 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of B Street and Alice Street after receiving reports of a shooting in the area. 

Before officers arrived on scene, Hayward PD received another 9-1-1 call from an adult male who stated his friend had been shot and that he was driving the victim to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.  

Officers then arrived in the area of B Street and Alice Street and located evidence of a shooting. 

Officers also responded to the hospital where the caller said they took the victim. Officers located three shooting victims at the hospital. 

The first victim, a 43-year-old male and Redwood City resident, received medical treatment but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.   

The second victim, a 44-year-old male and Hayward resident, received medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.  

The third victim, a 32-year-old male and Alameda resident, received medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. The third victim was identified as the man who originally called to report his friend had been shot. 

The identities of all victims are being withheld at this time.  

It is believed that the incident near B Street and Alice St and the shooting victims located at the hospital are related. 

There is currently no one in custody for this incident.
