Significant Incidents

 

Carjacking: On 01/10/2022, at 9:34 PM, the victim was sitting in her vehicle near the 600 block of Berry Ave when she was approached by the suspect (the victim and suspect know each other). The suspect brandished a firearm and took the victim’s vehicle. The suspect fled the scene in the car, which was later located, unoccupied, in a neighboring city. (Report #2022-001753)

Home Invasion/Assault with a Deadly Weapon: On 01/11/2022, at 3:30 AM, the suspects forced entry into the victim’s home near the 29000 block of Vanderbilt St while the victims were home. The suspects assaulted the victims and took property from the residence before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction. (Report #2022-001796)

Recovered Stolen Vehicle: On 01/11/2022, at 9:48 PM, officers conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of W. A St and Victory Dr. after a record check of the license plate revealed it belonged to a different make/model vehicle. Officers determined the vehicle to be stolen and the driver was arrested. (Report #2022-001932)

Commercial Burglary: On 01/14/2022, at 6:17 AM, the suspects forced entry into a business near the 25000 block of Mission Blvd. The suspects took unknown items from the business before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction. (Report #2022-002350)
