How to watch Hearts of Hayward Volunteer Awards and Recognition Event
The annual Hearts of Hayward Volunteer Awards and Recognition Event will be streamed live on the City of Hayward YouTube channel starting at 6 p.m. this Thursday, April 20.
Previously held each year in October in the big white tent at St. Rose Hospital, the Hearts of Hayward is being reinvented and has been moved to spring to coincide with National Volunteer Week, which is celebrated annually during the third week of April.
The 2023 installment of Hearts of Hayward is taking place as a limited capacity free event the evening of April 20 at City Hall in the City Council legislative chambers and City Hall Rotunda—with a special livestream of the proceedings on the City's YouTube channel.
A production of the City of Hayward, the office of Alameda County District 2 Supervisor and the Hearts of Hayward event committee, the gathering is an opportunity each year for local government and Hayward nonprofit organizations to highlight the contributions of community volunteers.
