Transform your commute with a $2,000 e-bike incentive
This holiday season, the California E-Bike Incentive Project is offering up to $2,000 in vouchers for low-income residents to help purchase a new electric bicycle (e-bike). An e-bike can help you reduce transportation costs, improve your well-being and combat climate change.
Here are the basics:
- When: Dec. 18, 2024, at 6 p.m.
- How: Apply on this webpage.
- Eligibility: California residents who are at least 18 years old with income of less than three times the federal poverty level, which amounts to roughly $45,000 for an individual or $93,000 for a family of four.
- Amount: $1,750 base incentive, plus an additional $250 for priority applicants.
- E-Bike: Use the voucher to purchase an eligible e-bike from an approved retailer.

Important note: The California Air Resources Board (CARB) will only be distributing 1,500 vouchers in December. This is the first of several application periods and there will be more opportunities to get an incentive in 2025.
