Hayward City Hall

The City of Hayward will observe two business closures during the month of February, in observance of President Lincoln’s Birthday, on Wednesday, Feb. 12, and Presidents Day, on Monday, Feb. 17. On these days, Hayward City Hall will be closed, and nonessential municipal services will be paused.

There will be no street-sweeping or citation enforcement during the closures. City Hall will reopen, and municipal services will be restored to their regular schedules the day after each closure—Feb. 13 and Feb. 18, respectively.

Hayward Public Library branches will be closed on both holidays, but you can check-out books, movies and more via the digital library here, 24/7. The Downtown branch will reopen after each closure, but the Weekes branch is closed for renovations until March 31, 2025.

You can use the Hayward e-Permits Portal to submit permit applications during each closure. Staff will begin reviewing applications after each closure.
