Fatal Collision – Tennyson Blvd/Dickens Ave
HAYWARD, Calif., On Saturday, July 23, 2022, at about 9:27 PM, officers responded to the report of an injury collision involving a pedestrian and a sedan near the intersection of Tennyson Rd and Dickens Ave.
Officers and medical personnel arrived on scene and located both parties involved in the collision.
The driver of the sedan was not injured, remained on scene, and was cooperative during the investigation.
Medical personnel responded to treat the unresponsive pedestrian. The pedestrian, a 45-year-old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The identity of the pedestrian is known, however is being withheld at this time, pending notifications to the next of kin.
It is not believed alcohol was a factor in the cause of this collision.
