Applications Open for Pimentel Place Apartments
Pimentel Place, a new affordable housing complex at 22648 Second Street in Hayward, will begin accepting applications from low-income families on Monday, July 1. The deadline to apply is July 15.
Developed by nonprofit housing organization EAH Housing, Pimentel Place offers modern one, two, and three-bedroom apartments with energy-efficient appliances. Community amenities include on-site laundry, bicycle parking, a children’s play area, and indoor and outdoor community spaces.
Of the 57 units, 15 are reserved for households with people experiencing chronic homelessness and will include on-site support services. Two units are designated for East Bay Innovations through referral. Thirty-nine units are assigned as general affordable housing, with income requirements ranging from 30 percent to 80 percent of the Area Median Income for Alameda County.
