Recovered Firearm: On 03/19/2023, 12:01 AM, officers conducted a vehicle stop for an equipment violation near the intersection of Sleepy Hollow Ave and Lauderdale Ave. A record check revealed the driver to have a suspended license. A loaded firearm was located under the driver’s seat during an inventory search of the car prior to it being towed. The driver was placed under arrest. (Report #2023-15262)
Recovered Firearm: On 03/19/2023 at 7:43 PM, officers conducted a vehicle stop for a moving violation near the intersection of La Playa Dr and Hesperian Blvd. Officers spoke with the driver and saw a handgun, which was later determined to be loaded and unregistered, in plain view inside the car. The driver was placed under arrest. (Report #2023-15416)
Grand Theft: On 03/21/2023, at 3:00 PM, officers responded to reports of a grand theft that took place at a local business in Hayward where witnesses obtained the suspect’s license plate. Officers conducted an area check and located the vehicle near A St and Happyland Ave. A vehicle stop was conducted, and the occupants were taken into custody. (Report #2023-15748)
