Key City Council planning, budgeting sessions taking place today and Saturday
The Hayward City Council will hold two special meetings today and Saturday to review and discuss City of Hayward strategic planning and budgeting.
At 4:30 p.m. today, City Council members will participate in a public work session in which they will update priority projects included in the City’s three-year strategic plan, called the Strategic Roadmap.
Then, starting at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, the Council will hold its annual budget work session at which Council members will receive and discuss departmental budget proposals for the upcoming 2024 Fiscal Year beginning July 1.
Together, the two sessions are intended to establish overall policy, program, project and service goals and priorities for the City, and direct and coordinate the application of City resources accordingly.
