Fatal Collision – Industrial Boulevard/Hesperian Boulevard 

HAYWARD, Calif., On Monday, October 9, 2023, at approximately 8:53 p.m., officers responded to the report of a collision involving a pickup truck and a sedan. 

Officers arrived on scene and found both vehicles and their occupants on scene.  

The driver and sole occupant of the pickup truck was identified as a 46-year-old male and Modesto resident. The man was cooperative and did not sustain injuries related to the collision. 

 
The second vehicle was occupied by two adults and two children. The driver, a 36-year-old male and Hayward resident, was treated at the scene by medical personnel for non-life-threatening injuries. 

 
The first passenger, a 39-year-old female and Hayward resident, was transported to a local hospital for injuries related to the collision. The female succumbed to her injuries at the hospital and was pronounced deceased. 

The second passenger, a three-year-old female and Hayward resident, was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.  

The third passenger, a nine-year-old female and Hayward resident was transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. 

The identities of the involved parties are being withheld at this time.
