Bay Philharmonic moves to Hayward for new season starting Oct. 1

Chabot College Performing Arts Complex will be the new premier location for Bay Philharmonic, which is opening its 2023-24 season on Sunday, Oct. 1, with Bay Phil Presents Broadway’s Best, Bay Philharmonic has announced.
Bay Phil Presents Broadway’s Best will feature a 50-piece philharmonic orchestra with star performers from Broadway including singers Lissa deGuzman (King Kong, Aladdin, Wicked), Jason Gotay (Evita, Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark), and Julius Thomas III (leading start of Hamilton).
The performance will include hits from the acclaimed vocalists’ Broadway shows, as well as music from West Side Story, My Fair Lady, Funny Girl, Rent, Sound of Music, Les Misérables, Mamma Mia and more.
Formerly Fremont Symphony, 56-year-old Bay Philharmonic is now under direction of Artistic Director and Conductor Jung-Ho Park, who brings to Bay Phil more than 35 years of experience conducting acclaimed professional and conservatory orchestras from around the world.
